Imagine a dragon’s head, a phoenix’s feathers, or a turtle’s legs—waves, and even  skyscrapers from New York—all bursting beyond the edges of the canvas.  That’s what TOBIDASU ART is.  For the protruding parts, I used an electric saw and joined the pieces of wood I had cut into matching shapes. The canvas is stretched by professionals, due to the complexity of  the forms.  Because these artworks leap out of the conventional frame, I named it “TOBIDASU,” meaning “to jump out” in Japanese.  In English, it’s called TOBIDASU ART.
